What’s up, Scooter punks?

Welcome to Baltimore Scootercult – the home of Hacked L!nk scoots. Here, we’re gonna cover the care and feeding of your new steed!

How do I saddle up this pony?

  1. Make sure it’s on. There throttle ring should be glowing – if it’s not, skip ahead
  2. Hold the brake, tap the throttle 5 times, release.
  3. It should play a noise and change colors!
  4. Vroooooooooooom

My pony went to sleep

  1. No problem: Find the reset-hole at the front of the scoot
    • Rider’s right, near the center
  2. Insert your reset tool into the hole, and press the button for 3 seconds
    • Don’t have a reset tool? You can use a 4-inch long allen-key or a piece of coathanger wire

This here pony is real tired

If your battery is so low the scoot won’t even wake up long enough to charge, don’t worry.

  1. Attach the charger
  2. Lock it into fault mode
    • I don’t know why it’s like this.
    • Press the reset button deep inside the reset tunnel
    • It will wake up, but it’s about to go back to sleep
    • IMMEDIATELY do the unlock sequence (brake-5x throttle-release)
    • It will lock into the red “Error – low battery” mode – But this mode will accept charge (the LED on the charger will turn from green to red when charging).

Now I’m trapped on a red-ring

  1. Reboot the brain! Log into the scooter and click “Reboot SC”

Wait… I can log into this thing?

  1. Open up your phone’s wifi list
  2. Select Scoot_A1B2C3 (your scoot name will be different)
  3. Enter “ScootScoot” as the password
    • That’s not part of the hack, that’s the factory default wifi password lol
  4. Switch to your web-browser (if not prompted automatically)
  5. Navigate to 192.168.1.4
  6. You should now see the control-panel for your scoot! You can lock, unlock, reset, and flash your headlight from this panel

I changed my scooter wifi password, but then I forgot it

  1. Bad move
  2. You done f#cked up
  3. Don’t do this
  4. Contact your local scooterpimp for a new control board
